– Hi Ava! Thank you for joining us today. Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
– Hi! Thank you for having me. Well, I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts. I have seen these memes online about graduates like me being jobless, but I did not have any issues finding a job.

– What’s your daily routine like as a business owner?
– I usually start my day NOT working. I’m a night owl, so in the first half of the day I do what I want. I do pilates, then catch up with my family and friends, and take the dogs for a walk. Things that people would normally do after work, I do in the first half of the day.
By 8 PM I am done with everything that I should have done, and I get to work. I check my store’s performance. Then, I respond to customer inquiries and process orders (I like taking care of orders myself, even though it can be entirely automated).
After that, I work on marketing – it’s posting on social media, and brainstorming promotional ideas. I also spend time learning new strategies and keeping in touch with the industry news.
By 11-12 PM I am done with most of my work and I start working on my arts.
– What advice would you give to someone who’s thinking about starting an online business?
– Just start. You don’t need to be an expert or have a ton of money. I knew nothing about ecommerce when I began. I was stubborn, sometimes lazy, but I had a vision. And that vision left me with no choice but being my own boss by any means.
